Declaration – 9 Dhi al-Qa‘dah 1428 (2007-11-20)

Declaration by His Holiness Haj Dr. Nour Ali Tabandeh, Majzoub Ali Shah
regarding the destruction of the Husayniyya in Borujerd

The recent destruction of the Husayniyya of the “fuqara” in Borujerd—which, as with all “Husayniyyas” and “faqr” gatherings, was a house of Imam Husayn (AS) and a place of remembrance and seeking intercession under the grace of the Friends of God—caused sorrow not only for every devout believer and follower of “wilayah”, but for every human being. It was in violation of all religious and legal principles. However, the true Owner of that house—who, as stated by Hazrat Abdul-Muttalib (AS) to Abraha, لِلْبَیْتِ رَبُّ (“The House has its Lord”)—is هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ , and He is the true Avenger. He alone knows how to deal with the instigators, perpetrators, and enablers of such desecration. يُخْرِبُونَ بُيُوتَهُم بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَيْدِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَاعْتَبِرُوا يَاأُولِي الْـأَبْصَارِ .

Our duty as “fuqara”, especially in this particular period, is to turn with greater attention and supplication to God, to participate in “faqr” gatherings and prayer, to maintain unity and solidarity, and to offer help and care to those injured and affected by this heartbreaking incident, including the oppressed, patient, and steadfast families. I am grateful and prayerful for the efforts of the “fuqara” who, both in this event and in past incidents, have provided every kind of service. I hope their deeds will be accepted by God’s grace, in accordance with the noble verse: لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ .

Now, to avoid any kind of disunity and in order to maintain greater organization and coherence, the “fuqara” are to deliver their financial aid through the esteemed brother Mr. Hossein Ali Kashani of Bidokht, wafaqahullah, and he, on behalf of this humble servant, is entrusted with organizing and coordinating the “faqr” gatherings in Borujerd, in collaboration with Mr. Abdollah Modiri and the committee they form in Borujerd. I ask the Merciful God for the success of all “fuqara”.
