Declaration – 10 Safar 1439 (2017-10-30)
Declaration by His Holiness Haj Dr. Nour Ali Tabandeh, Majzoub Ali Shah
Addressed to the “Fuqara” of Kavar
Honorable and esteemed brothers of Kavar City,
It is with regret that I address the incident in Kavar and its aftermath, which have caused distress. I wish to inform and guide the “fuqara” on this matter.
The Dervish Order does not engage in the politics of the times and does not interfere. As I mentioned in the first declaration, adherence to the law should be learned from Socrates, and respect for the law must be upheld even at the cost of one's life. Thoughts must be directed into the right channels, and the human virtue—which is the knowledge of the Necessary Being—must be attained through the bestowed “dhikr” and contemplation, nurturing the subtle reality of faith. The law, too, must be aligned with divine justice.
In every person’s life, there are ups and downs. I, too, was once imprisoned, but after enduring it, I did not become restless, nor did I retaliate.
If brothers were harmed during the Kavar incident or were sentenced to punishment—even if wrongly—then for the sake of upholding the dignity of the law and maintaining respect for it, one must endure and comply. No one has the right to involve others in seeking redress for their own grievances, thereby causing harm to fellow brothers or to society at large.
Of course, through legal channels, there is the possibility of reclaiming rights—or more precisely, proving the truth and conveying the voice of justice seekers to the authorities. Ultimately, the truth will become evident and manifest. The authorities are from among us and are also bound by the law. I have asked the attorneys that, if the brothers are prepared to submit to the law, they should pursue the matter through legal means. As provincial officials have promised and committed, they should act to establish the rights of the Order and its members. We hope this will lead to a positive outcome.
I pray to God that, with His grace and kindness, the hearts of the brothers will be comforted. I remind everyone that peace and reconciliation in the pursuit of justice are among the noble manners and practices of “Dervishhood”, which God willing, shall be observed.
And peace be upon those who follow guidance
Haj Dr. Nour Ali Tabandeh, Majzoub Ali Shah
