Letter – 16 Shawwal 1407 (1987-06-13)
Letter from His Holiness Haj Sultan Husayn Tabandeh, Reza Ali Shah
Regarding Family Disputes or Conversations, Attached to the Directive Dated 1987-06-13
As stated in the general directive, if there is any family dispute or conversation, it must not be brought up in the fuqara gathering. The concerned parties should meet separately and resolve the matter amicably. If it is possible to reconcile, they should do so—but not within the Sufi gatherings. Both parties must immediately work toward resolving the conflict. If this behavior persists and the matter is not properly addressed, the gathering on that night of the week will be canceled—unless the parties involved apologize in advance and the discord is settled. I do not know which party is at fault, but the very act of raising such matters openly in a Sufi gathering is itself a fault. The attached directive must be read during the Sufi gathering. This letter should also be read and acted upon accordingly.
