Karaj Library
Sufi Order of the Nematollahi Soltan Ali Shahi Gonabadi Dervishes

The Karaj Husayniyya Library, covering an area of approximately 200 square meters, includes various sections such as a reading room, archive, and computer room. Currently, the library holds over 12,000 titles and documents, and its collection continues to grow. Many of the books have been donated by Mr. Mardani, the family of Hazrat Mahboub Ali Shah, and other benefactors, offering a valuable array of research and educational resources for interested readers.

The cataloging of books follows the Library of Congress Classification (LCC) system, which is fully compatible with other major library centers in Iran in terms of Persian and Arabic book codes, and with international library centers that use this system for cataloging Latin books. One of the advantages of this system is that researchers can locate a desired document in any library using a single classification number. Moreover, libraries can easily catalog their books using pre-established standards, which enhances the speed, accuracy, and precision of library operations, reduces technical service costs, and promotes coordination with various library centers. The library operates under a complete and organized charter that grants it an independent legal identity.

Research Affairs

The Research Affairs Unit is one of the branches of the Husayniyya Library, managed by a group of writers and researchers specializing in mystical, religious, and historical fields. Young researchers and students at various academic levels who are working on topics related to mysticism and Sufism, or writing their theses in related disciplines, receive guidance in this unit.

Cultural Products Store

The Husayniyya’s bookstore and cultural products shop offers mystical books, essential educational materials for public classes, and available tapes and compact discs of lectures by the order’s elders, as well as instructional videos of lectures by teachers of public classes. The income from this store is used to cover other expenses of the Husayniyya.
